Discription Of A Woomera

The woomera is a wooden Australian Aboriginal spear throwing device. The woomera is 2 to 3 feet in length, one end is three inches wide, while the other is more pointed and has a hook. Like Spears and Boomerangs, the Woomera can only be used by Aboriginal men.The woomera is usually painted in traditional Aboriginal paintings like ceremonial grounds, lighting father spirit and woman's ceremony.
