If I can stop by Emily Dickinson

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

The poem is about wanting to help others from hurt that they receive.
The Arthur is the speaker, she the one telling the story themselves.
Some of the poetic devices it used was. Personification, line breaks, and connotation.
The way it helped me understand the poem more was when she used connotation. Like the emotion she was using. And with the line breaks it helped me understand how to read her poem more.

Goodbye. By Orsai
I sit here beside your tomb,
Your tomb looking like a lost child,
In the dark.
Thinking you were mine to keep.
Now I sit here crying,
Hating he who took you from me.
Why couldn't you stay one more day,
To at least say goodbye.
