What causes tornadoes?
Tornadoes are formed in unusually violent thunderstorms when there is sufficient instability and wind shear present in the lower atmosphere. Instability is when the temperature and humidity is different in the two atmospheres. Ex, it is hot and dry in the upper atmosphere, while it is cool and humid in the lower atmosphere.
