Civilian Conservation Corps:
1) Purpose
-The purpose of the CCC was to help preserve nature through doing such things as growing trees, building fire houses, building roads, fighting off insects, and even fighting fires.
- The CCC was very successful in their goals to help preserve nature, as near 3 billion trees wee grown in a nine year period. People boasted of the projects that were completed in their state by the CCC.
2) The CCC was part of the first new deal
3) Relief:
- The CCC had stations in every state in the United States plus Hawaii, Alaska, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
-Preserved land that was in desperate need of preserving.
-Rebuilt fire roads that were falling apart.
Reform:
- The CCC planted trees where fires had previously burnt them down.
- Rebuilding fire houses caused for a new an improved fire fighting force.
4) The CCC came to an end in 1941.
- Over 9 years, over 3,000,000 men enrolled
