"Kalinga War on Ashoka"
-The Kalinga War was fought between the Mauryan Empire with Ashoka the Great and the state of Kalinga. It was the only major war Ashoka fought after his accession to throne, and is one of the major and bloodiest battles in world history.
-The Kalinga War was important to world history because it had influential consequences. It had incredible influence on the personal life and policy of Asoka. The despair and casualty which he had inflicted upon the people of Kalinga filled his heart with deep sorrow and regret.
