Conflicts

Some conflicts in The Book Thief are the Nazis vs the Germans and Liesel vs having to leave her mom. There is conflict between the Germans and the Nazis because of the war that is going on between the Nazis and the Germans. This appears when the bombing happens, men are sent to war, and the news in the newspaper says that the are in war. There is also conflict between Liesel and her leaving her mom because her mom sent her brother and her away so they could be safe. This shows when Liesel has bad dreams and wakes up screaming in the middle of the night about he mom and about when her brother died on the train ride to the Hubermann's.
