Islam

Islam was started over 1400 years ago in Mecca Arabia it is based off of the teachings of the prophet Muhammad who is believed to be the final prophet of God or as he is know to the Muslims Allah. Muslims building of worship is called a Mosque, and their sacred book is called the Qur'an. One of the main beliefs of Islam is the Five Pillars of Islam

1. Shahada: the declaration of faith and trust that there is only one god (Allah)

2.Salat:which is the Muslim prayer which consists of five daily prayers

3. Swam: fasting

4. Zakāt: which is the practice do giving to charity

5. Hajj: which is the pilgrimage the all able bodied Muslims are obligated to make at least once in their life
