Hydrogen (H2) is being explored as a fuel for passenger vehicles. It can be used in fuel cells to power electric motors or burned in internal combustion engines.
It is a fuel that is better for the environment, that has the potential to dramatically reduce our dependence on imported oil, but several significant challenges must be overcome before it can be widely used.

Fuel for cars that are environmentally safe

Bio-diesel is produced from renewable energy sources such as sugar beet, rape seed, palm oil and sunflowers. It is a biological substitute for regular diesel. Bio-diesel cars are more environmentally friendly than conventional cars which run on petrol and diesel for many reasons; for example it is not toxic and doesn’t produce as much damaging exhaust emissions.
