Diesel vs. Gasoline

When crude oil comes into the refinery, it is separated into a lighter component and a heavier component. The lighter component is turned into gasoline, and the heavier component is turned into diesel. Diesel is better for the environment because it puts out 20% less carbon dioxide than burning regular gasoline.
