Modern telescopes
Refracting telescopes- telescopes that rely in refraction, or bending of light by lenses
Reflecting telescopes- curve mirrors to focus light
Catadioptric telescopes- large mirrors to collect a lot of light but have short tubes for portability
Radio telescopes- look like a satellite dish. Collect and focus radio waves or micro waves from space
Space telescopes- they orbit earth's atmosphere in space. And can carry instruments to observe objects emitting various types of electromagnetic radiations
