About Me

I am located in the lower central part of the brain. I control body temperature (homeostasis), feelings of sleep. Also, I control water levels, hunger, and thirst. I am also the site of emotions and the effect emotions have on the body. Some of the hormones I produce are Gonadotropin,Thyrotropin, Corticotropin, Growth Hormone, Somatostatin, Antidiuretic Hormone, and Oxytocin.
