Questions

Jeffry Smart likes to paint the modern day urban environment such as freeways, trucks, street signs, oil drums.

His paintings techniques are dark and sad, but also melancholic.

His style is modern, fairly symmetrical, and shows the plainness and simplicity of the 21st century.

His mood is eerie and melancholic, and he achieves this by his use of tone by making the sky all dark and stormy, and his use of shadow which is dark and shows the darkness and sadness because it's so dark and deep.

Jeffrey Smart fits into my community because in his painting of the Melbourne gate in 2002 it shows the modern age in which it is his community. In the container train in landscape he shows Australia by mixing the modernisation of train containers and the bush.
