Winter

Winter - Winter is the coldest season of the year but its when the earth is closest to the sun (weird right). It's the coldest season because the earths axis is tilted toward the North Star which means tilted away from the sun which also means we would be getting indirect sunlight so the sun isn't shining directly on us that's why it's the coldest season.
