Contracted through infected animals/environment
•High fevers (104-105 degrees Fahrenheit)
•Severe headaches
•General malaise
•Myalgia
•Chills/sweats
•Non-productive cough
•Nausea
•Vomiting
•Diarrhea
•Abdominal pain
•Chest pain
•Adults with Acute Q fever- 100 mg every 12 hrs of doxycycline
•Adults with Chronic Q fever- 100 mg every 12 hrs of doxycycline and hydrochlorquine 200 mg every 8 hrs
•Children under 45 kg (100 lbs) with Acute Q fever- 2.2 mg/kg body weight given twice a day
