Viruses are NOT cured by antibiotics
Viruses consist of a hereditary molecule (DNA or RNA) surrounded by a protein coat. In some cases, the virus is surrounded by a fatty covering. Viruses have no organelles or metabolism and do not reproduce on their own. This means they are not living organisms. Viruses reproduce by taking over the host cell's reproductive machinery. ((Our bodies act as the host for viruses))
-Viruses are not living, therefor they don't reproduce by themselves, so antibiotics can't do anything to them. There's isn't anything "alive" for the antibiotics to "kill." Viruses are just bits of DNA or RNA that inject themselves into a living cell, where the cell itself makes copies of the virus
-Helper T cells, in the immune system help fight off the viruses on their own.
