What is a Protista?

If you are a eukaryote and can not be classified as an animal, plant, or fungi you belong to the Kingdom Protista. There are four different groups of protista: single celled animal like, single celled plant like, multicellular plant like, and fungus like. True protozoa are single celled animal like protists. Examples of protozoa are amoeba and paramecium. They come in many different shapes ranging from the amoeba which can change its shape to the paramecium which can not change shape and has a complex structure.
