Hannibal was the brilliant Carthage General that thought of the idea of having elephants ravage through Rome destroying everything in their path. Although the Romans had snuck past him and struck Carthage burning everything and killing everyone, and the others that they didn't kill, they brought them back and sold them as slaves. Hannibal was too late to return home and it was all over. Even though he had a brilliant plan, the Romans were one step ahead and pretty much ended the war.
