Hernan Cortes was Moctezuma II believed to be a god. Cortes resembled the god's description from the legend. In 1521, Cortes returned and conquered Tenochtitlan with his Indian allies. Cortes won because of 4 factors: alliances, weapons and horses, geography, and disease. Aztecs had weaker the cannons , swords and armor.
