1964- Ali becomes member of Nation of Islam. "I believe in Allah and peace... I'm not a Christian anymore... I'm free to be whatever I want.
Aug 17, 1967- Ali marries Belinda Boyd, a teenage Chicago waitress with plans to go to secretarial school.
1968- Belinda and Ali have the first of their four children, Maryum..
1976- Ali divorces Belinda. She is awarded nearly 2 million in the settlement.
1977- In June, Ali marries model Veronica Porche. One of their two children, Laila, eventually becomes a professional boxer.

Problems
April 28, 1967- Ali refuses induction to the us army in Houston. Consequences, he has to serve 5 years in jail, stripped from his title, and has to pay 10,000 fine. He is freed on bail pending appeal.
1970- Ali finds a way to fight. Georgia, which has no state boxing commission, is willing to let him box.
1973- Ali suffers second loss, fighting 10 rounds with a broken jaw.

1954- kid steals Cassius bike and he vows to whip him. Cassius finds police man and the policeman says he should learn to fight before he does any whipping.muhammad doesn't know policeman teaches boxing in the Columbia gym in the service club basement. Six weeks later, the 12 year old wins first fight. Career starts from there.
