Conclusion

This lab was about an egg drop. We had to design a container to keep the egg from breaking as it's being dropped from 7.75 meters. The lab was completed by answering all the questions needed and and by doing the actual experiment. Our hypothesis was that if the ball fall downs it picks up speed and depending on how much time it would take to fall, then it wouldn't break. The independent variable was the design of the container and the dependent variable was the force and time. The controls were the mass and distance. Momentum is the quantity of motion of a moving object, measured as a product of its mass and velocity. There was no highest height that the egg survived because it broke on the first drop. The container was not effective because it was small and it needed more protection. Errors that may have been made was that the object we used and we could have used a bigger object and more insulation inside so that it would help keep the egg from breaking.
