Math involved in the microscope
When creating the microscope it takes many calculations to find the right level of magnification necessary to look at certain microscopic things deepending on how small they are. For examples you need to find the total magnification of a microscope you figure that out by multiplying the magnification of eyepiece by the magnification of the objective lens.
