Followers are called Muslims
Started in the Arabian peninsula around 600 AD.
Core beliefs:
- Angels are real
- There is only one God (Allah)
- There is a day of judgement(whether people go to heaven or hell)
- Allah cannot be seen or heard, is neither female nor male.
- Five Pillars of Islam(Shahadah, Salat, Sawm, Zukat, Hajj)
- Six Articles of Faith
