Science is a particular way of gaining knowledge about the world. Science comes from the Latin word that means "knowledge." In science to start a new theory you must start with a observation. Once you have made your observations you should start your experiments. Then end your theory.

The Scientific Revolution was a series of events that led to the birth of modern science. The Scientific Revolution occurred between about 1540 and 1700. The Scientific Revolution started because many people were interested in science.

Theories always had to be proven for them to be true. Theories have have been developed for centuries.
All theories are tested to see if they are true.

Ptolemy was another greek thinker and astronomer. Ptolemy was also a geographer who made the best maps of his time. Ptolemy recorded his observations and did theories to prove his hypothieses
