The Milky Way Galaxy

The Milky Way galaxy was first discovered by Galileo in 1610. Using a telescope he saw the many different features of the Milky Way for example all of the different stars and planets it was composed of. The milky ways galaxy got its name from the Greek phrase “Galaxies Kuklos” meaning the milky circle because of its appearance in space.
