Location made trade and traveling difficult, they built causeways ( raised roads) to connect the island.
The lake water was dirty, they built an aqueduct made of stone to bring fresh water.
Farming was difficult, they built chinampas ( floating gardens) and farmed from boats.
One of the greatest cites in the Americas
Huge temples, busy markets, clean streets, and a huge palace. When Europeans arrived they were stunned by magnificence.
300,000 people lived there but were later destroyed by Europeans.
