In 1860, the towns in Texas really grew. San Antonio, Galveston, and Houston were the there largest cities in Texas. Trade centers and the Capitol were also very important. The big cities had a few houses, shops, offices, and other buildings you would typically find in a town. There were two factories in Houston and Henderson. Cotton producers, gristmills, and sawmills could be found many places.
