Her father tried to convince people that Equestrain events were unmanly anyway, after she won the games. But people were so fascinated that she won they had to see if they were just as good as her basically. A statue was put up in the Temple of Zeus to honor her, only men could have this honor. But they honored her this way. She is still a symbol to the social rise of women. And that they should have there rights.
