The Saber-tooth tiger went extinct 10,000 years ago (at the end of the last ice age). It is seen as unlikely that early humans were the cause of this animal's extinction. It is believed that it is a mix of the climate change and its large prey that caused the Saber-tooth tiger to become extinct.
