Strep throat affects the throat and could affect the heart or joints if not treated

When the streptococcus bacteria gets in your body the germs will attack the tissues of your throat. Certain areas of the throat may swell which is a sign that your immune system is still fighting off infection. When the bacteria grows pain in the throat will come and you may have a fever. This shows your body is still fighting.
