Arctic tundra
The Arctic Tundra is the worlds youngest biome. It was formed 10,000 years ago. The tundra is a vast and treeless land which covers about 20% of Earth's surface. It is usually very cold, moist tundras are located in the Northern Hemisphere. In the winter months the average temperature is -18 F.
