Conclusion

Marlee Matlin is a amazing person. But she wasn't born perfect . There were many difficulties in her early lifetime. However her obstacles that were the most difficult was not being able to hear. When she was starting going to school, her parents sent her to a normal school with normal kids. Instead of a special school for kids with hearing disabilities, because they didn't have enough money to support her. At the age of seven she started to act and perform. Her first performance with the children's theater company was the Wizard of Oz and she got the role of Dorothy. That is when she wanted to act. Marlee kept at her acting even though she wasn't able to hear. She was asked to be in lots of movies and tv shows and is still successful today. The one strong characteristic she had
that kept her going is her self esteem. As a result she
was awarded star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
Marlee also wrote books about her experiences in her
child life and her obstacles to help people understand
that they are not alone.
