Cons of using Geothermal energy:

1. It can only be used if close to surface. These places are far from cities...means a lot of piping to get electricity...can be expensive.
2. Need a lot of land
3. Can't be transported to generation sites like nuclear and fossil fuel plants.
4. Requires a lot of maintenance with extreme care and caution.
5. First cost for building geothermal energy plants are very high.
