Suspension

Heterogenous mixture in which some particles settle out and float (if liquid) in the other ingredient. The particles of the substance are spread through the mixture but not dissolved in it and will eventually settle out. Ex: Muddy water is a suspension because after it settles the dirt is separate from the water. Ex: Flour and water is a suspension because the flour does not dissolve in water.
