Russian Armed Forces
As of December 2013, the armed forces are at 82 percent of the required manpower. According to SIPRI, Russia spent nearly $72 billion on arms in 2011. Russia is planning further increases in its military spending. Russia has the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world. It has the second largest fleet of ballistic missile submarines and is the only country apart from the United States with a modern strategic bomber force. Russia's tank force is the largest in the world, its surface navy and air force are among the largest ones.
This is important to the power because if you have a good armed forces and good weapons you can fight with other countries when you go on a war, or even other countries won't go on a war with you after seeing what your armed forces are like.
