Summary of plot

Grendel's mother takes Beowulf to her cave in the lake. Beowulf grabs a sword and fights Grendel's mother striking her in the neck breaking her neck and spine. He finished her off by cutting her head off. Grendel was in the cave resting from battle and Beowulf ends his life by cutting his head off too. He goes to leave the cave with no other treasures other than the two heads.
