Location, Size and Density

The Orion Nebula is located in the constellation Orion. It's about 1500 light years from Earth. As seen in a telescope, the angular measure of the Orion Nebula is 1 degree. This is twice the angular diameter of the full moon. The density of the nebula is about 600 atoms per cubic centimeter.
