Population Diagnosed

1 in 3500 male births worldwide. Mostly in makes, rarely in girls. Usually symptoms will show between ages 3 and 5.
1 out of 3 people diagnosed have never had a family history of DMD.

Genetic Counseling is available, and DMD can be detected with about 95% accuracy by tests done during pregnancy.
