How are stars formed?

-Start to form in molecular clouds
-Gas atoms start to bond together (CO and H2)
-Star formation happens when the denser part of the -cloud starts to collapse under gravity
-The core, made from gas and dust, collapses first
Nuclear fusion occurs
-When the densities reach a certain point, stars form
-Whole process takes 10 million years
