Jane addams was born on September 6,1860 in cedarville, Illinois. She died in Chicago, Illinois on May 21, 1935. As a child she had tuberculosis of the spine and pott's disease. According to letters found , evidence suggests she may have had an interest in woman. Her father was john h. Addams, a senator from Illinois, and a friend of Abraham Lincoln.
