History behind Neodymium

Neodymium was discovered in 1885 by Austrian chemist, Carl Auer von Welsboch. Originally named "Neodidymium" it was founded by a method he developed by himself to separate didymium for the first time.

The element has an average boiling point is 5565F/3074C. The melting point is 1875F/1024C. The electron configuration model is on the right.
