Producers, Decomposes, and Consumers
A producer is an organism, as a plant, that is able to make food for itself and others. A decomposer is an organism, usually a bacterium or fungus, that breaks down the cells of dead plants and animals into simpler substances. A consumer is an organism, usually an animal, that feeds on plants or other animals. If there weren't producers then animals wouldn't have food and would die causing bacterium to eventually run out of food and die. If there weren't decomposes then the entire earth would just be filled with waste. If there weren't consumers them producers would over populate and the decomposes wouldn't have anything to eat.
