Music of the 1930s is completely different from the music of 2014. The most popular music genre back then was known as Jazz. It became increasingly popular with the people. It also spawned famous musicians like Irving Berlin and Richard Roger who both wrote jazz music together, Cole Porter who's music was put in Broadway and George Gershwins "Porgy and Bess" which premiered in 1935
