Parts of the System

1. The Brain Stem-

controls the basic
functions in the brain.

2. Thalamus-

screens information, and decides what information is important enough to send to the thinking parts of the brain.

3. Hypothalamus-

contains a variety of control centers that relate to areas of composition of the blood, feeling of hunger or thirst, or strong emotion.

4. Cerebellum-

controls coordination and balance.

5. Cerebrum

biggest part of the brain, for thinking.
