How Do You Get Russell-Silver Syndrome?
Russell-Silver Syndrome is often caused by the abnormal arrangement of genes that are responsible for growth, and focuses between chromosome 7 and chromosome 11. It can occur whenever both copies of chromosome seven are inherited from one parent (most commonly the mother) rather than one from each. For 40% of babies born with the disease, the cause is unknown.
