Suddenly I was falling through an opening in the tube (sphincter) into a large dim cavern (stomach). I landed in a what seemed to be a lake of some kind of liquid (gastric juice). Whatever it was, it burned (chemical digestion). The whole cave began to shake and i thought maybe there was an earthquake (mechanical digestion) . The liquid began to slosh around. Soon I was just a milky substance (chyme). After a while I fell out of the cavern through a hole and into a long dark tunnel (small intestine).
