The first bridge was created by Jacob Wrey Mould in 1874 and the second one (they had to do renovations) was constructed by Howard & Caudwell in 1896. This is the oldest bridge in the United States! Before, it was in wood and had iron railings on each side off the bridge. The new bridge (1896) was made in stone and has green foliage covering in the hot months.
