Size of America

America is 3.794 million square miles. To get a better idea of that, the United States is about one-half the size of Russia, and slightly larger than either Brazil or China. The size of a country is very importanat to the power it has because the bigger the country, the more places there are to have space for people to live and land for livestock and farms.
