He was not an emotional healthy child.
He briefly attempted third grade in saint Joseph's grammar school at 420 east eighth-seventh street but rebelled the religious discipline.
Checked into Bellevue hospital in early 1974.
At the age of 8, he spent three months in the facility. Eric then spent forth and fifth grade years at green chimneys, a residential treatment center in Brewster, New York.
Records indicated his discharge on June 6,1976.
Hospitalized again for nearly 2 months while the 6th grade.
