Foreign Policy

Since 2003, the US involvement in the Middle East has cost the nation 3 trillion dollars (according to Washington Post).

6,700 US troops have been killed in the war on terror in the Middle East; 50,000 have been wounded. (CNN.com)

The Middle East has proven time and time again that they can not handle democracy. Almost every time that a middle eastern country has not earned democracy by them selves that government has failed miserably. Because of the record of the Middle East the US should not be involved militarily in promoting democracy or human rights in the middle eastern nations unless it directly benefits the United States. The United States have enough problems at home let alone worrying about the problems of foreign nations. The fact of the matter is Is that we are broke and here is no need to risk American lives and dollars on matters that truly have nothing to do with us.

Why We Shouldn't Be Obligated to Help Those Nations Create a Democracy
