Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in the year of 1492. Christopher stumbled across the Bahamas in 1492 looking for a new trade route to Asia. He had gotten his ship by the king and queen of Spain. His sailors were mostly prisoners of the jailhouse. They used prisoners because they still thought the world was flat. The prisoners had no meaning to the king and queen, however he had proved them wrong when he came back.
